Interlock was founded in 1994 by four engineers who believed technology should serve the business — not the other way around. Three decades later, we still operate that way. Our first client is still our client.

Our Story

Built on relationships that outlast technology cycles.

In 1994, four business associates came together to form Interlock. They brought in key staff as Computer Systems Analysts — each one personally known to the partnership — creating an expert team forged from an intricate web of business relationships now stretching beyond 30 years.

Our first client engagement was scheduled to last two weeks, beginning in 1995. We still have that client. We dedicate four full-time staff to their needs.

That's not an accident. It's the consequence of a discipline we've held since day one: understand the client's business deeply, then bring technology to it — never the reverse.

We focus on updating computer systems for organizations with smaller IT staffs, or those whose workload won't allow them to undertake lengthy, complex projects. Engagements normally include systems and communications infrastructure design, installation, and management — and often custom software to support core business processes.

We typically spend three or more years on an engagement, and frequently retain ongoing relationships for systems operations and software support after the major work is complete. Our clients are small to mid-sized businesses — a private school, a large private money management firm, a national nutritional supplement manufacturer — and in every case, we send people who care about their work.
